Here’s the real deal.  NA is a nonprofit, loose knit organization where drug addicts attempt to recover. Most people who come to the meetings don’t stay-only about three percent(%).   Many of the 3% stay completely abstinent for long, continuous periods of time.  Some of them enter the mainstream of society and prosper in the consensus realities of our community.  They quit stealing and taking drugs and contribute to their communities in some cases.  There seem many reasons why.  Mostly, because it’s hard to stay clean.   Secondly, because it’s hard to adapt one’s life to clean living without the use of drugs-most people don’t want to give up old playmates and playgrounds.  Lots of folks don’t really want to stay clean in spite of their histories of drug use which shows that they have an unmanageable life and can’t control their use of drugs.  Some of these people seem actually pleasant to be around after a few years.  Full personality change is really tough for most of them.  They have to write assignments on the twelve steps and share them with a sponsor to give feedback where necessary and then they have to apply the awareness in their lives in the form of positive action. Usually they have to seek outside help for more complete recovery. It usually takes years to get a full change.  In the meantime, they usually act out in process addictions, sexual addiction and other obsessive and compulsive behaviors.  Usually this continues for years and in many cases never ceases.  Also, there are many emotional, psychological and sexual abuse problems that take a lot of help to deal with. There seem a lot of manifestations that show up in beliefs, thinking, emotions and behavior.  Consequently, we have a social group of very fucked up people.

There occurs in the sharing of experiences during and after meetings a lot of crazy thinking and beliefs.  “Recovering” addicts get encouraged by the literature of Narcotics Anonymous to adopt a Higher Power or a God that is loving and caring.  Nice concept, erroneous as it is.  Mostly they get a God who is a trickster and has a twisted sense of humor that teaches them lessons and encourages them to love people in spite of behaviors which have destructive social and personal effects.  It gets difficult to socialize with these people because they are abusive and untrustworthy and very dishonest with themselves. A high prevalence of this occurs in sexual relationships.  There is a high degree of serial polyandry where these addicts can fuck several of their fellows within a short period of time.  Many never break out of these social circles to have relationships with the unaffected and so it’s a round robin fuck a thon.  I include myself in these statistics.  In twenty years plus around the fellowship, I have fucked twenty five or so women from NA and six women not from NA.  Not so good, considering I fucked over two hundred women not from NA previous to coming into the “program”.  By far, the women not in the program have been less damaged and more sane.  Many have likened these aspects of NA to dating inmates from an insane asylum.  My own sponsor has told me many anatomically intimate details of many of the women he has fucked including the identities of squirters and bad fucks and Xtian women who like to be shamed while getting buttfucked.  Pretty funny if one is a woman hater or object oriented sexually.

    Over the years I have learned that having low expectations of “recovering” addicts has great merit if I wish to socialize even occasionally.  Mostly, these folks are rude, have a victim mentality, and are very narcissistic in the most negative ways.  The whole thing epitomizes social ineptitude. 

What the social and consciousness organs of NA has going for it is a powerful yet amorphous egregore with thousands of portals.  I hesitate to call it a god form because it remains so unformed and undisciplined.  It does keep people clean who use it and can provide some important divinatory information if evoked properly.  One day I will assemble some other non superstitious energy workers to shape and discipline the entity.
