Mondo loves his life; Mondo likes his life

Mondo had a pleasant day yesterday.

He saw the beauty of his surroundings while sitting on the wall at a ramada entrance at North Mountain Park.

He saw the beauty of the valley and the Sunday swarm of the city below. The air seemed clear. The fresh rain always does that.

The sorrow oozed out of his heart toward the open space. A smile came from inside while he reflected on his family and the healing and love that emanates from them.

It took a long time, but they got there.

He sat in an NA meeting listening to some whose lives had greatly improved and to some who desire to improve and find some joy and meaning in their lives.

He spoke up when his turn came to share experiences. He knows that the secret comes from abandoning false expectations and that his expectations and unlikely desires have caused him some trouble.

Life has disappointments and they can posit as opportunities for growth. They can have less pain and anxiety without practicing the denials of diversion and distraction. Walking through the emotions allows them to naturally dissipate; and this comes in stages.

Fortunately, Mondo chooses to manifest this for himself. Anger comes and goes and almost always when it comes to life’s resentments a.k.a bitterness-it serves as a mask for hurt and sadness.

The work has to continue to minimize the sadness getting stuffed and turning into depression and homicidal thinking, which mostly wastes valuable energies.

Sometimes Mondo has to reject people’s pleas for friendship that are based in him filling a role model position of a missing or nonexistent family member.

He does not play the role of big brother or daddy. Mondo plays Mondo. If you don’t want to let him-he has a larger audience of one to fulfill.

Disappointing as it seems, he can move on to other more important people in his life. If these realities anger you, the opportunity remains for you to grow up.

The older Mondo has gotten, the more growth he gets.

The sadness will eventually turn to joy.

The joys make life more pleasurable.
